Application Studio - Published layer won't show up in browser menu maintenance 24.1

Hey,

In 2024.1.10, I created a layer on Receipt Entry. I committed and published the layer.

In menu maintenance via the browser, when I try to add the layer to Kinetic customization, it tells me there are no records available. But the classic menu maintenance run from the client lets me add it to a copy of the menu, and then the layer runs via the browser on that copy.

We’re in a test environment where I need to leave the form set as “user choice” and the classic menu maintenance doesn’t show both types of customizations.

What might cause the layer not to show up on the browser, when it does appear on the classic form?

BTW, the Receipt Entry menu is owned by the company specified on the layer, and the menu is marked “all companies.”

I’ve run across this, but am struggling to remember what I did to fix it.
Try changing this to a new program, then back to Receipt Entry.

Hmm. When I uncheck “all companies,” the customization shows up.

Does that make sense? Something else in play?

I specified the company.

I assumed the “all companies” setting on the menu meant it would run a customization of any company, but it looks like it means “run customizations marked all companies.”

We’re good now that we know that. :slight_smile:
