With an effective date less than or equal to: 29.09.2025

This is the last level of a 6-level BOM. As soon as I created this revision MRP and Quick Job Entry fail on it. There was an old topic where it seemed to be a bug from 2016:

Has anyone else had this issue, and what was the solution?

We have had this before too and I raised a case with Epicor but looking back at it there are no replys to understand how we resolved it. I think it might have actually been the effective date on the revision for us.

I have error proofed 3 parts, and the effective dates and revisions appear to be accurate as I can see. The fourth part is the same and this works. I do not understand why the 3 others are not with the same,

What does your revision screen show for the part mentioned in the error (6710055/3)?

BO-00011 did not work for it either. Made a same MOM via Get Details for BO-00012 and then it works. I also checked advanced planning and it is all there. Planning set is visible also for 6710055/3. I am gettin a feeling that some process does not work for the failing revisions.

I found some notes on an internal ticket that mention changing the approved date - what does your approved date look like for that part \ revision?

The approved date is generally today always as I approve “today”. Should I set it to the same as effective? Sorry, but this system date and cannot change it to any other than now.

I am trying to remember as we had this issue about a year ago :confounded_face: We are the same and the approved date is usually the date we approve (makes sense!) but if it won’t cause an issue in your system could you try setting it to the date on the error?

Someold ticket sayd that approval in engineering workbench cause this error and then they unapproved all parts in EWB and then approved on part, but this does not seem to work for me.

Looking at the information from when you originally raised the ticket the date showing is today so if it was approved today or before I guess it wouldn’t make a difference. Sorry, not sure what else to suggest apart from raising a case with Epicor :confused:

I did make a ticket, but after carefully going through all MOM levels and checking all effective dates on all revisions there were no more errors on Quick Job Entry nor MRP. I don’t know for sure what was the issue. Seems awfully that some date was not available for some parts and therefor nothing happened. Now MRP creates suggestions for all 7 levels of parts with correct dates and revisions.
