sidlabls is also in 4.0 -- it seems that the title text portion of
the forms has been put into a table so that it can be used on any
form -- examples (quantity, p.o. number, phone no., etc) which makes
it easier for the programmer but more difficult when you have
customized forms to upgrade. I ended up recustomizing most of ours
from the standard Vantage forms.

I converted from 3.0 to 5.0 last weekend. My 3.0 accounts receivable invoice
report had a fair amount of modifications. Looking at the new 5.0 ARform.rpt
I see a table named SIDLABLS that calls out a bunch of fields beginning with
lbl. What is this table? I can not find it in the data dictionary. Is it a
temporary table created by the progress routine?

Dan,
SIDLABLS holds the labels or headers for your report. For instance, if your
reports displays the field InvoiceHed.InvoiceNum then there may be an
associated entry in SIDLABLS that says, "Invoice Number." Seems a little
silly until you need to print an invoice in Spanish and you want the invoice
to have the Spanish translation for Invoice Number. If you are sure that
you don't need any language translation (and won't in the future) you can
ignore this table and put your own labels directly in the report.
