You will undoubtedly have some geographical challenges. No matter how much
bandwidth you throw at it, you're going to have some latency and many hops.
Work with your ISP and ensure you can get guaranteed allotments of bandwidth
and a QoS (Quality of Service) that can provide priority for certain
protocols. Assuming you have a VPN established between the two sites, use
RealVNC for remote support (free). RDP will work for Vantage, but don't be
afraid to test the client running across the VPN/WAN. I've actually had
good success running the full client across VPNs and with many miles between
Site A and Site B.

Subject: [Vantage] asked to inquire about adding a new location in Ireland
Hi all,
We are considering adding our Ireland location to use our Vantage 8.03.409C
SQL version. Does anyone have any lists of things to watch out for or should
this be smooth (as good as it gets)? We know we need to make sure the
connection works well via RDP or some other means and that we will need to
connect remotely to them for support possibly too.
Thanks in advance,
Karen
