We are working on scheduling in Epicor and trying to find ways if there is something that autoschedule jobs and fill resource capacity as soon as it is free.
We are backward scheduling and noticed that we are having free capacities that are not getting utilized and would like them to be filled up as much as we can.
Does this mean that we have to do forward scheduling instead?
You would need to either do forward scheduling or move the job req by dates to fill that time. In backwards scheduling, come hell or high water, Epicor will try to make the end date of a job be on the req due date. That’s its primary objective.
