Auto job completion/closing

So we’re exploring the auto-job complete/close process and are running into issues with them not really closing.

Can anyone comment what parameters are absolutely needed for the process to complete them and also mark closed for finance.

I know you set what parameters are desired but I would assume there’s a threshold?

Things like:

  1. All operations complete (or final op as marked)?
  2. Production quantity equal to run quantity?
  3. All material issued to jobs?

Thanks!

Take a look at “Job Complete/Close Parameters”. You can have separate controls for completion vs closing, as well as thresholds for over/unders thresholds for both quantity and costs for both labor, material, and subcontract. Lots of options to play with.

Also note, from memory long ago when I did this, if you leave it 0 that means it is no check on it. You can’t really have a 0 tolerance for something. They may have changed that, I haven’t looked at this in a long time but AFAIK that is still the case.

We are messing with this right now. If you set as 0 it matches on everything and you complete everything. At least it did for us.
