Auto Job Create Process for Sub Parts

Forgive my ignorance if this is common knowledge but

Is there a way to automate this process:

I create Job 45-145, Part: Widget.45

Widget.45 needs Wudget3 and Wudget4 as a material. I need a separate job to produce Wudget3 and 4. Is there a way to auto create and schedule these downstream jobs when the main job is created and scheduled?

Without MRP you could use Quick Job -
Open Job Entry
from the Action Menu - launch Quickjob

  • Enter a jobnumber or click next job
  • Enter Widget 3 and current Rev.
  • Enter qty you need
  • Engineer, release, and schedule
  • Click Save
