We use auto-receive to stock and it works very well. We started using it in
July-August and have no problems. We are using average costing as well. We
use live data terminals and the operation that is selected to put parts into
stock is the operation we have the most confidence in the number counted.
In our case, the auto receive box is checked in the master part file in the
BOM at the "stock" operation where, in our case, the parts are packed in
their containers or weight counted. By this operation all the costing for
the operations has been reconciled and the parts completed throughout the
job is at it's most accurate at this operation. Good luck. Our next feat
to deal with is "Backflush".
