Ok, the business case is the sales manager for a territory has changed and the ERP system needs to be updated. The steps we followed:
Â
Sales Territory Maintenance
1) Entered a new salesperson and checked the Primary checkbox
2) Deleted the old salesperson.
3) Actions/Adjust Current Territory - message comes up "Are you Sure?"Â respond Yes, then watch the hourglass.Â
At this point you need to wait for the program to complete or to error out.
Â
If it completes (smaller territories have completed, larger ones tend to error out):
4)Â A message will come up "Process Complete" respond OK.
5) Run an Edit List: Actions/Edit List/Print Preview, print the document then close the print screen.
6) Actions/Post. Message: process complete
Â
The results seem to be fine if the process completes,
Â
IÂ tried to adjust northern California today, which has many boundaries, and it errored out after chugging for more than an hour and a half: If it errors out you will wait anywhere from 45 minutes to 4 hours and you will get an error message and be booted out of the program completely or have to do a Ctrl+Alt Delete to kill it.
Â
Â
We went to the Northern California customers and changed them manually, and all the Ship To's, and the customer came in correctly on the quote, so we do have a manual workaround but why does it error out when doing the automated application??
Â
Has Anyone else experienced this problem?
