Avatax Tax Connect Delay when Saving a Sales Order

Nope never got it. Asked about it several times but never got a
definitive answer.

If I ever do, I'll let you know...

In Epicor 905.700b2, how long does it take you're Sales Order to save?
Our Sales Orders are taking on average 45 seconds to save with Avatax turned on, a couple of seconds to save with Avatax turned off.
We are trying to find where the delay is, I don't believe the Internet is the issue, but I'm interested in saving times from other people's systems.

Thanks,

On 905.700b and order saves in 2-5 seconds with AvaTax on. It could be your internal path to internet (have you tried to see how long searches from within E9 to web support take?). It could be your internet. It could be BPM's.

Not to hi-jack your thread, but do you have a need for AvaTax at a quote level? We are shocked this is not in the system.

I don't believe it runs at the quote level, only the Sales order level.

We've been turning off Ready to process to speed up saves on the SO.

Here's what Epicor Tech support says:

"This performance issue is noted on CR (Tech Support Change Request /
bug) 13578ESC; the applicable SCR (Product Development Software Change
Request) is 100409. The fix for this issue currently targeted to
(potentially available for inclusion in) Epicor version 9.05.702;
however, I have been advised that our developers are accepting one-off
fix requests for this issue."

We have requested the one off fix rather than wait for 905.702.

Chris,
Did you ever get your one off for this? We don't show taxes on sales orders (only invocies) so can just turn this off, but then we get the "Return to Order" message and that's a pain too... I haven't looked into trying to supress that message yet, hope it's easier than the credit hold one (required a mod).
