Average Demand Blank Title 87103

Forecasting would be my suggestion. You could enter the forecast of your
average demand into the system and MRP would use it for production.
Sales Orders would update the forecasted items, replacing the forecast
demand with the actual demand.

Subject: [Vantage] Average Demand

We are used to using a Average Demand in our old ERP system, and cannot
find this within Vantage. Ideally, we could configure a Average Demand
over pre-defined periods (i.e. monthly demand over last 12 months,
monthly demand over last Quarter, monthly demand over quarter previous
to last, weekly demand over last quarter, etc.). Our old system allowed
us to set params like this, then run a process (we did this at month
end). It would store these values in the part master table, and we could
place them anywhere.

What are you all doing for average demand? anyone have any solutions or
ideas?

Thanks,
Keith Walter

We only work on 6 monthly average so we work out an average sold per month using 6 months worth of figures.

This is done by a simple BAQ which works with the InvcDtl table to see how many of each part we have sold, then crystal has formulas in to calculate the number of parts per month and then works out an average.

It's simple, but perfect for us.

There is a software called Smart Forecasting which Epicor sold us. We havent used it, but it is meant to show trends for parts and you can flatten out the 'blips' in the graph to get a truer figure.

We have a similar way to "lookup" this data on a dashboard. But I want to get this data into the part table, or a UD table somehow, so that it can be available on differnt screens as required.
