I’m having to consistently (weekly) Kill our Backflush process and start it again. I’m sure I have it set up wrong. I have it set to run every 1 min. Attached to a startup schedule per Epicor. How do you have your process setup to run?
I’m not sure why your process is having an issue, if you are logging you can look to see if it’s hung up on a specific job.
Way back when I started on Vantage, I got a recommendation from Epicor Support to not do continuous run attached to a startup schedule. I typically set up a schedule and submit the backflush process to it. The frequency of the schedule depends on your business needs. I’ve used anywhere from every 15 minutes to an hour, to 2x/day with various companies. For example, if you are running auto job completion at the top of every hour, you might want to run backflush every hour on the half hour.
I’d prefer not to link it to a startup schedule but Kinetic forces you too.
When you first bring up the screen, you should be able to uncheck the continuous processing box. Then select a schedule and submit it.
Thank you, I thought I had to leave that checkmark for it to run every minute.
Just make sure you check recurring when you submit the task to the schedule you want. It will be a checkbox next to the schedule.
