Backflushing Jobs vs purchasing direct

If the parts are all ready on hand, then you will need to leave them as
backflush unless you want to manually enter them. If the parts have not
been purchased, then you can mark them as purchase direct on the job.
When the PO is created you can reference that job and then when the PO
is received it will be automatically issued to the job. If you change a
part to purchase direct and it is all ready on a PO, you will need to
change the PO to cross-reference the job or PO suggestions will advise
you to purchase the parts again.

Subject: [Vantage] Backflushing Jobs vs purchasing direct

In our system we have all material marked as backflush. I have a
'SPECIAL' job in the system where some of these parts would be in the
BOM, but I want to purchase them directly to the job.

Question is this: If I unchecked the backflush box on the job, when I go
to relieve labor and material, will it backflush parts already purchased
directly to the job?

We are on Vista 8.00.812.
