Backorder - ship zero quantity

Understood, we don't do back orders, so I wasn't even aware of that
reality..

We dropped force stage ship also but now I see at least when we want to
backorder something and we're shipping zero on this pack we have no
choice.

Has anybody noticed that you can ship a pack with zero quantity from stage ship confirm but not through cust shipment? (.407)

What is the point of that?

If you are using AgileShip, it's critical. If you freight a shipment,
then notice it has an error (0 qty) the next day, you can't un-freight.
You can't mark the pack slip shipped from the shipment entry, either. So
it's stuck. Choices are to force a status change in the database, which
puts it out of sync with AgileShip, or force the shipment through stage
ship confirm. Neither are good options, but I'd rather not force the
database if I can help it... (Can't wait until they fix the "no
un-freight" thing...)

That is just one of the many reasons we avoid using that process
altogether...

I have been thinking a lot about that lately, we don't use agile ship,
but subcontract shipments force you to use the stage ship confirm
routine (why it doesn't just match the customer shipment process only
the retards that made it could tell you) and you run into the same 'I
can't un-freight it' scenario... I'm thinking a customization with an
user defined checkbox that could emulated the Shipped checkbox on the
customer shipment form might do the trick... It's not really forcing
the database per se..just...a different route to the airport perhaps.
Maybe it would work in agile ship?
