Is the BAM Process Server running? Simply starting the Process
Server doesn't automatically start the BAM Process Server. Also,
did you save the file in the mfgsys/ud folder?

Nam,

I'm usually not inclined to contradict what Support has told someone, but if
you were truly told this, you were mislead. We are using BAM here to
generate pop-up alerts/warnings under several different scenarios. If the
alerts are coded properly (my challenge), they are triggered when
appropriate.

Besides you could use the "net send" command to pop a message to the
"current logged in user".
Just a thought to take the complexity out of it.
I use this to notify purchasing that they have a Requisition available, but
it could be used locally as well.
If you would like details let me know.

Nam,

I'm usually not inclined to contradict what Support has told someone, but if
you were truly told this, you were mislead. We are using BAM here to
generate pop-up alerts/warnings under several different scenarios. If the
alerts are coded properly (my challenge), they are triggered when
appropriate.

Epicor technical support confirm that there is no way to create a pop-
up warning in BAM in version 6.1. The option is abailable in version
8.0

Thank you all,

Nam

Thanks Scott,

I got it finally. You are right.

I removed all other lines except

MESSAGE "Are you sure?" VIEW-AS ALERT-BOX TITLE "Alert Message".

In the BAM I selected Part table and Inactive field. So whenever I
change the inactive check box the message will pop-up immediately.

Hi,

Just want to check something, this doesn't actually stop the record
being written does it? Just provides a warning?

Thanks
