Having trouble coming up with a good tool to review a Method in one Site that we need to set up in another Site for what parts out of a Indented BOM need to be set up in that Site.
We have added a new Site and going to be adding another 2 in the next year and need to move products/lines to the new Sites.
Also, would like it to review when Engineering set up new parts to see if something was missed in that Site, as Engineering Workbench doesn’t say if that part is set up in that Site or not.
Just replying to get others to see. As Ben mentioned we have quite a few site additions in the works for this year. We have a pretty big part master, and not all of those parts are setup in each site. But we obviously do have commonality, so when we are adding certain product lines or parts to one site we don’t currently have a good way for engineering to know if all the component parts are setup in that site when creating the method.
@Ben_Diekhuis Along the lines of what @Fernando is doing, but make a calculated field for each new site and with a case set that site to site name/blank or found/missing. Then if you filter for missing or blank from a site column all of the components will be there. Copy that to excel and sort then remove duplicates to add into a DMT run to add all of the missing components to the new site.
@Fernando what you have is pretty much what I was trying to do, but can’t figure out how you did you Site Column to get them combined.
I’m just getting multiple rows returned for each Site currently, I think I’ve done it before, but can’t find the BAQ that I did it on to look at for an example.
If you could show me how you did that then I would have what I’m looking for.
@Fernando, just what I needed!! I got it to work on my BAQ for indented BOM, so it goes all the way from top to bottom!
Got another calc field to say if it’s set-up or needs set-up, so i can filter on that in the Dashboard after I do some more testing.
