My BAQ Report Designer's sample data is just fetching one record in Crystal Report.Am I missing something?
That's what the 'Sample Data' feature does. I recommend previewing
the BAQ Report form, generating some real data (enter your report
options and select the 'Generate Only' option), and use a full dataset
to design your report. This gives you a much better idea how your data
is going to work anyways, in terms of column width, grouping, etc.

If the user puts in an order number, only data for that order will be in the xml file that is used by Crystal. If they do not use the filter, all order numbers will be in the xml file that is used by Crystal.

Hello Anitha.

Filter in BAQRpt Designer actually selects records based on it. They pass through to your Crystal report as BAQReportParameters (In Field Explorer / Crystal), but if you selected multiple values it is very difficult to parse-out the string that transfers from Vantage (BAQReportParameters.Filter1 for example).

Now, Options are different as you tipically ENTER discrete values in the assigned fields or prompts.... (for instance If you create an Option field with BAQReportParameters.Character05). You can retrieve these values in general and utilize them to design your Crystal Report.
