BAQ union Blank Title 126346

We ran into issue too where an external BAQ would not work in an embedded dashboard that had a subscriber.

The work around that we came up with was to add a “parent” BAQ that would subscribe to the form and then have the external BAQ subscribe to the parent BAQ from within the dashboard.

For example, we had an external BAQ that showed pivoted data related to a customer’s price list.

When we could not get it to subscribe by CustID, we added a “regular” BAQ to the dashboard that just displayed a couple of fields from the Customer table and then had the external BAQ subscribe by CustID to the “regular” BAQ.

Now the link in the embedded dashboard is between the UI and the “regular” BAQ, which causes the external BAQ to filter properly.

You can shrink the area that the regular BAQ takes up to hide it if you would like.

We are still trying to find out from Epicor if this is by design but this workaround is working for us so far.

Is there a way to "union" data in a singular BAQ query?

Using an external BAQ with a SQL view is not an option because apparently an embedded dashboard with an external BAQ does not work when you need to subscribe to a field on the form.
