BAQ's and creating criteria using constants

Well, I've asked Epicor's support about this and unfortunately
the 'CurrentMonth'/'Year' constants are a string so can't be used
against any dates in Vantage :(

Also there's not a list of what each of these constants are so using
them is a bit hit and miss.

What you CAN use against dates in Vantage thought are the constants
that start 'First' or 'Last'. And I've also had my first enhancement
request added, for new constants that cover 'FirstDayOfYear' etc.

Woo Hoo :)

(Using Vantage 8.03.305)

I've just finished some training on BAQ's and Dashboards and I'm
eager to get stuck in but I have a problem creating a criteria using
a constant.

During my training I became aware of the constants available within
Vantage, such as 'CurrentMonth' and 'Year'. It turn out though that
these are unusable and that at least two Epicor consultants I spoke
to are aware of this :(

The bottom line is that for example the 'Year' constant is in an
unknown format that stupidly does not match how dates are stored in
Vantage.

For example if you create a criteria in a BAQ that used the field
{orderhed.orderdate} and then state that this equals the
constant 'Year' you get a syntax error when you try to run the query,
aaaargh !.

Has anyone got this to work at all (the problem exists in .305
and .400).

Thanks.
