BAQs - Calculated Fields - How do you display a $ sign in front

try

"$" + String (JobAsmbl.TotalCost)

(or whatever your field is) as a formula for a calculated field. It's not a numeric field- it has to be a character field, and make sure your numeric field is formatted so that it will print as you require.

If you are going to use it in a BAQ report, it would probably be better to format the field in the report. To format a dashboard would be a customization.
Hope this helps!

Great, recreate Epicor fields with ones that display better.

I know you can align the text to the right in a grid view by changing the style, you can also create new styles and make them available through view rules under setting styles, maybe play around with that a bit.
