Bin Location Search in V8

Yes.

Part Tracker will show you what part is in a particular bin. However
if you have racks and you want to know whats in the complete rack
then you will need a BAQ to find everything in that particular rack.
(assuming you have multiple parts in the same location IE: Small
Parts)

Being in Inventory control I use BAQ's alot to find and cycle count
complete racks. It's better than choosing each part individually in
the cycle counting module.

Does anyone know if it is possible to find out exactly what parts and
how many are located in a particular bin in V8? Sort of like a
hypothetical Bin Tracker would function.
Anyone . . .?

I have made a BAQ and it works great.

Here is a copy of my BAQ so that you can build one.

for each PartBin where ( PartBin.BinNum BEGINS '35' Or
PartBin.BinNum BEGINS '36' Or PartBin.BinNum BEGINS '37' Or
PartBin.BinNum BEGINS '38' ) no-lock by PartBin.BinNum.

This particular BAQ is used by me in Cycle Coutning the bins
particularly bins 35 to 38

Due to the limitations of the cycle counting part of vantage I have
written several BAQ's to help reconcile inventory by bin locations.
wouldn't that be a version of the tracker used to give parts on hand / capable to promise? zPartlot .....
