Bin Locations - "DELETE"

That's actually a great idea, Joe!

I'll have to play with that.

Thanks.

My idea is probably not the easiest.

I would add a checkbox to the Bin screen that would be used to signify
that the bin is obsolete.
Create a quick search that only displays active bins.
Create BPMs to stop transactions that are trying to use obsolete bins.

We are doing this for obsolete Indirect Labor codes and it's working
quite well.
It's still possible that someone could see the obsolete bins but the
BPMs kick in and block them.

I know this topic has been here before... but I'm wondering how you all
handle Bin Locations that you don't use anymore and you don't want any
of your Inventory Clerks to use any longer?

I know from the UI we cannot delete bins with transactions against them.
We can hide them and we really cannot do anything like "locking" them to
prevent future transactions.

Has anyone just deleted these bins from the back-end?

I'm wondering what the repercussions would be, if any.

Thank you in advance.
