Bin that is not transferred

Hello everyone,

Our team created a new bean. However, certain part numbers are not transferred to that bin.
But the shipment is going well.
When I run the inventory transfer, I get the following message:
If this issue was a lot number or serial number issue, it shouldn’t even be shipped. But the shipment is going well.
Why is this happening? Thank you in advance.

What are the full details on that message? Are you sure that message isn’t coming from a bpm?

Do you have an unintended space in the Lot number associated with the Serial Number?

That message isn’t coming from a bpm. We didn’t set a bpm on it.

As those who have worked on Inventory Transfer know, when you select a Part, you can only select the Lots that are dependent on that Part and retrieve the serial numbers assigned to that Lot. So I don’t think there can be a space issue.
Moreover, these parts have already been completed for Job and shipment with the corresponding Lot and Serial.
Only transfer to this Bin doesn’t work, everything else works fine. So I’m suspecting a correlation between Bin settings and Part settings.

Some things are transferred well, and some are not.
There is only one lot for this part number. So does that mean the Inventory Transfer itself creates unintended space?

Have you verified that with a BAQ to make sure its not some bad data that isn’t showing up in the interface? Lots of issues with trailing spaces on part nums so it wouldn’t surprise me if there could be a trailing spaces issue on other values as well.

This is too difficult a task for me. It seems like a space issue, but other circumstances show that it is not a space issue.
We have never directly entered part numbers, lot numbers, or serial numbers in this inventory transfer. All selected from the Find Master feature. Even if we registered the Space incorrectly, we chose it.
And, Job and Shipment were processed normally with that Lot, Part, and Serial. If it is a space issue, these tasks should not be handled either. What’s more, in inventory transfers, identical parts and lots were previously handled well.
Since we have already shipped it directly without transferring it to this Bin, I will not dig into the Bin transfer issue any further. I’ll post again next time a similar issue arises. Thank you all for your help.
