Shirley,
I do not control the passwords, each user is required to change his
password as soon as he gets an account. I would have to reset each password
to do this at my computer. I thought about it but didn't want to deal with
the grief it will cause me when the phone starts ringing. (Usres can be so
touchy! ;0)
Troy and Michael,
I have the report but the table contents are incorrect. For example if I
just look at the favitems table it shows that under my dcduser name I have
over a dozen different shortcuts. This is incorrect. Also I tried adding
and removing shortcuts and folders on my account. This had no effect on
either table(favfolders or favitem). I logged off and on again just to make
sure the shortcuts stuck. They still did not appear in either table. Is
this a problem with .117 only?

Mark,
Link the UserFile table and the FavItems table by the DcdUserID filed
UserFile.DcdUserId --> FavItems.DcdUserId
FavItems.Description will give you a good idea of what is in each user's
favorites bar.
FavItems.ItemType will let you sort by Vantage Items vs. Windows Executable
items.
You can see the User's name and ID by showing UserFile.Name and
UserFile.EmplID.
Hope this helps narrow the search.

Hello Group,
I have been doing some spring cleaning in menu maintenance. When
trying to
delete a particular custom report from a menu I get the following message
"Delete not allowed. Referenced by at least one Favorites Folder." There
is no ref to which user has this report in his favorites folder.
Tech support say's "There is no way within Vantage to track what
user has
the custom report linked to their Favorites menu. You will have to check
each user one at a time."
In a perfect world where users are always available I could probably
get
this done in a day. In my world where each user wares many hats it would
take me weeks to track each one down, have them log on, then check their
favorites list.
Does anybody out there have a better idea? I have tried looking at
the
favitems table and the favfolder table. They seem to be non-functional.
At
least for this problem.
TIA
Mark
