Michelle,

You will need to go into Part Maintenance and on the 'Plants' sheet you will enter your lot size into the "Costing Lot Size" field under MRP Planning. You do not need MRP for this to function.

Also, when running the BOM Cost Report you have the ability to insert a Production Quantity by going to the 'Filter' sheet. If you scroll across you will find a editable column for "Production Quantity".

This information is based on 8.03.408A. We have done a lot with Job Costing over the past 6 months. If you want to talk about anything give me a call or drop me a line.

Hi All,

I have a question about the estimated costs on a BOM. When I run the BOM Cost report it gives me the estimated cost to manufacture based on a qty of one.

However all of our BOM's have a set up time. So for example, if I make 1 piece of something the set up time is 1.5 hours. However, if I make 100 pieces it's still 1.5 hours, which means the per piece cost goes down.

We have standard production lot sizes but I'm not sure how or where to incorporate these in Vantage so when I run my BOM Cost report it doesn't tell me my labor and burden for just one piece.

I hope that makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated...I am truly lost here.
