I am not 100% that this is what you are looking for but trying create one of these lower level parts (part B)with no operations but material C on it., set it to phantom in the part form and set it to "pull as assembly" on higher level BOM (part A). The net result is you get one job for part A with one assembly, with only the ops from part A, and material C on the BOM. Part B simply disappears.
When fiddling with this process you need to mess with where the Ops are located, as well as the phantom flag and the pull as assembly flag. You can get a lot of interesting behavior out of the system depending on how you configure those.

Subject: [Vantage] BOO Question
We are implementing E9.05.700B and we are working on getting the BOOs to look right. We are a custom vehicle manufacturer.
We have phantoms in our build process where we consume the phantom's materials at different operations at the parent level.
For example
We need the material that would be consumed at the parent Operation 10 to appear under the parent Operation 10 sequence material list. Then we need the phantom's material that would be consumed at Operation 30 sequence to appear under the Operation 30 sequence material list.
We have hundreds of phantoms under a finished good and each phantom could have material that would be consumed in a common operation sequence. We would like to consolidate all the like operations into the parent operation.
Does anyone have any insight on how we might be able to do accomplish this?
Thanks in advance
