BPM error Blank Title 113841

Customer Entry has a Check Dup PO checkbox, it has to be set by customer, not by company. You could write a BPM to check the box when adding new customers if this is a company-wide rule.

Hello,

I have written a BPM to find duplicated use of PO numbers in sales orders. The BPM works with the MasterUpdate method in Pre-Processing.

It does the query below and tests for a result (ie finds 1 row).

for each ttOrderHed no-lock, first OrderHed no-lock where (ttOrderHed.Company = OrderHed.Company and ttOrderHed.PONum = OrderHed.PONum and ttOrderHed.CustNum = OrderHed.CustNum and OrderHed.OrderNum <> ttOrderHed.OrderNum)

It works well, except that after the information message is displayed advising the user that the PO has been used before, if the user enters a new and unique PO number the message returns, now referring to that new number as a duplicate.

Can anyone tell me why?

Thanks for the help, past and future...

add whjere ttORderHed.RowMod='U' or ttOrderHed.RowMod='A'
see if that helps

Isn't this built into Epicor? Look at customer setup, a checkbox named
something like "check duplicate PO".

Thanks yet again Jose,

That seems to have fixed it. Much appreciated.
