# BPM external method with Db

I am trying to create either a method or data directive that uses an external method with access to the Db context so that i can bring other tables into scope. I have read here https://epiusers.help/t/using-callcontextbpmdata-and-db-in-an-external-bpm/33877 but I must be doing something wrong as when I inherit from an abstract class the method is no longer available to be used in the BPM. We are on E10.1.400.12

any thoughts?
