Subject: [Vantage] BPM for making Part Description all Caps

9.04.504b

I had this BPM from a previous version Vantage but when I imported it it
did not work.

So I am recreating BPM for making Part Description all Caps at Quote
Detail Entry
At Quote.Update
Pre Processing Action only Advanced Code
after

*/Add source code that should be executed before the designed actions
here*/

for each ttQuoteDtl where ttQuoteDtl.RowMod = "A",
Assign ttQuoteDtl.LineDesc = CAPS(ttQuoteDtl.LineDesc).
End.

I get no error. but it does not cap when I enter

I have another question, what is the trick to importing BPMs from
previous
versions. I used to be able to change the notepad Version identifier
from
8.03.504 to 9.04.xx etc. doesn't work?

I have run into that before and I asked Epicor about it.

Their answer was when you do a qty adjustment it adds a line to part trans history with a qty of zero dollars. their software need to put a line in adjusting the qty but the zero dollar value doesn't effect the actual price.

With Average or Actual costing, the qty change (particularly if an adjustment) triggers update of variance & inv asset GL accts - Hence the need for the parttran record. (Archaic paradigm but from an accounting standpoint: proper as it leaves an audit trail).
