BPM for Sales Order Close

Wow. What a simple change! That worked great. I can't believe I didn't at least try Post. Apparently the act of closing a line or an order works differently than updating it as for as processing goes.

Thanks Liss!

I am not a BPM expert but i think in order to get that information when a Sales Order is closed you have to wait until Vantage has carried out it's own actions (post-processing).

Hello All,

I have a BPM that fires based on SalesOrder.Update to let me know of
changes in Qty and UnitPrice. This works great. I tried using the same
logic to apply a BPM for when the orders are closed, whether on the line
level or the entire order. I use generally the same code, but whereas on
the Qty/Price BPM I have the condition set to at least one updated row,
I've tried multiple conditions for the Order Close, and none seem to
work. I've also tried to utilize the SalesOrder.CloseOrder or
SalesOrder.CloseOrderLine methods directly, also with no luck. Thanks in
advance for the help!!

Are you using Pre or post processing? And how the changes are displayed? by a pop up message or by email?

I am using Pre-Processing. I though about post, but I figured the same logic that applied to Qty/Price change, which are also Pre-Proc, would apply here. I am utilizing an e-mail to display the changes.

I would try Post and yeah the method directive has to be close order or close line, this is what I got from tracing the data. I am not a BPM expert but i think in order to get that information when a Sales Order is closed you have to wait until Vantage has carried out it's own actions (post-processing).
