Ok folks, it’s getting about that time to get the shop floor on Browser MES…
So anyone got any good solutions for them not to have to log in?

Our best is Azure AD (Entra now) that is passed from the computer login automatically in Edge. 1 click to login. That only works if your shop PCs share a common login, or if you have a unique Epicor account for every shop windows account.
I’ve talked about it before too Kevin, you can use an entra account like @amurdock said and then use a yubikey so that you don’t have to give out a password, just a pin, and you can harden that with conditional access so that they can only log in from certain IP or something in entra. They would also always need the YUBI key.
There are others on this forum doing it with the yubikey, let me find you that.
This thread kinda goes along with what you’re trying to get at… I know you don’t mind a little drift (
). @klincecum
We do this as well, it’s the best option we have found so far. We also set up Edge to start automatically and browse to Kinetic MES on login using Group Policy. As soon as the computer starts up, MES opens immediately.
We tried creating a PWA (Progressive Web App) or ‘Kiosk Mode’, which seemed nice at first, until you open something that launches a new tab. For example, you click ‘Issue Material’ and instead of launching a new tab, it browses to Issue Material and you lose the MES homepage with no way to get back.
