Budgets and labor and burden rates

We would like ways or proccesses that Vantage users use to deteremine
their labor, burden rates or budgets. Another question regarding
labor and burden rates, how often is this reviewed and or changed,
yearly, every 6 months, etc?

We are a CNC machining shop and would like a simple way of coming
up with budgets, labor and burden rates. About 3 or 4 years ago, we
were a much larger company and attempted to setup budgets with the
use of very tangled spreadsheets. It would take us 6 months to come
up with a budget and by then it was out dated. Does anyone have some
simple formulas or thoughts you would be willing to share? We are on
Version 5.1. TIA
