Caching Issues? 10.2.400.8

Some users are encountering the “caching layouts” messages constantly as they navigate through our upgraded environment, even if they have been in that screen multiple times already in that session.

Not all users appear to experience this behavior. Are there caching settings or preferences that could somehow be different for these affected users?

Is the client program for the upgraded environment installed in the same location as the live environments client, on the users computer?

I see this when using my live and test environment simultaneously - because there is just the one client installed on the workstation.

Kind of the down side to the installer making just one client, but separate shorcuts for the different environments

They are on the same workstation but appear to be in different client folders.

I have experienced the behavior you are talking about but I remember that happening as Epicor was loading, rather than between screens.

Also, the caching popup is slower and takes longer to load for affected users.

We too are about to go from 10.1. to 10.2. (Our 10.2 environment is on a totally separate server from the 10.1 system).

Other than “just” an upgrade for 10.2, are there any other differences (like endpoint binding)?

Do you use the network naming format in each system?
Like \\appserver_102 vs appserver_102.domain.com vs localhost, etc …
