Is there a way to call a specific quick search from code? We have a field in the Part table that we use to record serial numbers of printing plates that go with that part (the numbers basically identify the specific art work for that part). I would like to add a button next to that field that allows for searching (using a quick search) of other parts with the same artwork, selecting one of those parts, then auto filling some other custom fields that hold the same properties.

This is kind of our own custom configurator, it was more than we could take on during implementation, and configurator is more than we need, so we added some custom field to do the in-between.
If you make the Quick Search the base search then using a simple search
this will work. However if you want to call a Quick Search from code which
is not your main search. Then you need to use a Named Search instead.
