Calling a BPM from a Method - does it invoke other BPMs?

I'm pretty sure the BPMs only fire if you call the methods at a higher

If I have a BPM that, for example calls a method to automatically create a job, will other BPMs work as they do with manual inputs.

ie if I have BPMs that are within the update Job procedure. when I run the BPM that creates a Job would that invoke the update BPM?

At the moment we have one that does this but other connected BPMs are not running - I'm not sure if this correct or not?
