Can i put Epicor 9 on PC

I run a test server installation (9.05.700c) on an ASUS gaming laptop with a SSD, 64bit, windows 7 i7-3610QM processor with 16gb of ram. Very good performance...

I have to assume that you mean that you wish to install the entire environment (SQL/Progress/client/etc) on a single PC to 'play with it' before going live.

I suspect that you could, however it will take an exceptional PC with a LOT of RAM and horsepower. Just the Progress app servers and SQL Server can take 8+GB just to be up an running. The client is a total memory HOG as well, and the Appserver RAM goes up with each connection.

Perhaps one of those Dell XPS multi-proc/multi-core with 48GB of Ram or something like that..

If you have two or three PCs - that might be easier..

We run Epicor 9.0.700C from our corporate servers via network and it is used on laptops, tablets, and PCs.

Hope that helps.

Yes, you can put it on almost anything, personally I prefer Windows 2008.

I would suggest a VM though, that way I don't have to worry about any
conflicts with software that might not normally be on the server. Plus you
can screw with it as much as you want and just redo it without worrying
about your own PC.

Yes and you don't have to worry about licensing!

I think there are a couple of people at tech that can actually help you with the install, as are a few people on this group.

Good luck!
