I am working in pilot, and I have it setup where I want to obtain a snapshot so I can go back to this state after some testing. How do I take a snapshot right now, instead of waiting for the automate process to do it? I don’t see any obvious buttons in the CMP.
Thank you for your time!
Nate
That is not a feature at the moment, but something I would really like to see.
The backups are taken at 9CST, I have been conducting restores after that.
Most of the priority from that team has been around self upgrade and self update, I agree with the focus.
Maybe the fastest idea approval ever because I just voted for it 18 minutes after your post.
Insta vote!
Not cloud but voted anyway. It’s a feature that cloud customers should have.
Is this a feature that on prem has by default?
Not within Epicor. But us on-prem folks can take SQL snapshots and backups whenever we want. Since we host everything ourselves.
And snapshots are Oh so Sexy particularly helpful with upgrade testing and test break fix.
You can setup a scenario (take snapshot), test it.. revert, fix.. repeat. ![]()

Great idea! voted! In the meantime just make sure you leave it how you want when you go home tonight and write on your calendar todays date - ‘My MRP Test Snapshot’ It’ll be good for 30 days you can do a pilot to pilot restore in CMP.
It’d be nice to flag any backup as not-expires as well.
I almost just tagged you directly to say thanks but I try not to over-summon the epicor employees. It is greatly appreciated to be able to vote on an idea as in comes up in a discussion, so Thank you @timshuwy
Yeah, it’s slick as ![]()
