We have a job that is complete, but the packing slip the job is on hasn’t been marked shipped yet.
Does it effect anything if the job is closed before the packing slip has been marked as shipped?
If it’s a make to order, you can’t ship from a closed job. If it’s make to stock, and the parts are in inventory, it doesn’t matter. They aren’t related.

you should NOT close the job until you have either received all the parts to stock, to another job, shipped it directly from wip. Once you close the job, any remaining “Completed” items will just be lost to wip. this will cause a variance to post as well, even if make direct.
This Job Complete/close screen shows the quantity complete, vs received/shipped. The total Received + shipped should equal the complete quantity.
