Can method directives send emails to a distribution list?

It probably has to something with the Disty Properties.  Something like it shouldn’t authenticate.

 

Mail Flow Settings > Delivery Restrictions > Properties > Require All senders are Authenticated.

Mandy,
There is no reason why not.  But you will need to ensure that your SMTP Receiver is configured correctly. That is if you are using MS Exchange.  I also believe our Mail guy did something else, I am still waiting for documentation.

We just went though and Exchange 2013 upgrade and we had a similar issue.
