Hi all got a weird one and our Epicor consultants are getting nowhere with it.
We recently went live with Epicor EDI. We paid for the full package and they set the whole thing up with the Trading partner and their van for the 3 accounts we have in our system for that client.
Now we have gone live we have come across a very serious issue.
One of the accounts works fine, the other one cannot mass ship.
When the warehouse goes to ship the order and is creating the packing slip and goes to mass ship it pops up a error message saying there is nothing to ship on this order. But if they go and add lines manually to the packing slip one by one they can add all the lines and ship the order.
This is not acceptable as orders for these accounts can contain 100+ lines and this was not an issue before and if we create an SO manually it can be mass shipped no problem.
This means this has to be related to something that has been missed/misconfigured or a bug in a BPM or something related to the EDI implementation but they reckon they cannot find anything wrong.
I am at my whits end as this cannot be the new normal, and all signs point to something not being setup right.
I’m guessing there is some field that isn’t set properly in your OrderRel table. The first thing I would check is to make sure that OrderRel.SoldToCustNum is populated. We recently had an issue with some releases having that set to 0.
@kve is right - if mass ship works for Customer A but not for Customer B, there’s probably something amiss with the inbound map for Customer B. Would think that situation (OrderRel.SoldToCustNum = 0) would bomb at time of import but I guess it depends how your EDI inbound was set up. Ours takes inbound 850/875 docs and runs them in through Demand Management.
We had some recently that weren’t showing in Fulfillment Workbench, and that SoldToCustNum was the issue. Surprised me too, I would have thought that would have made the whole thing fail.
Now our customer is having issues with THEIR provider (they use a different ERP) and cannot send EDI orders so they cannot send me anything to test with…
