Canned Vantage Reports to Excel

Excel can read the xml data file with ease (formatting once the data is pulled in can be a challenge though!).

The difference is that excel can't initiate generation of the xml file. Crystal already has the built in integration hooks to trigger the initial required Vantage data export to xml.

We just got service connect - so I'm hoping the BAQ export process BO methods are exposed and we find they can be called from within excel via a vbScript.

Since the Progress reports end up as text files in your MfgSysdata or
EpicorData folder, you can use a tool like Monarch:

http://www.datawatch.com/_products/monarch_overview.php

or other such tool.

BTW, BOMListing and BOMSummarized are now Crystal reports in Epicor 9.

P.S. I hope you and your family has a great holiday!
Just yesterday, I found a way that works. There is a 'Method Tracker'
that does not seem to be in the menu system but is accessible from
Part Tracker Revision tab. Select Part # you want, go to REVISIONS
tab, place cursor in REV field, RIGHT click and select METHOD TRACKER.
Select MATERIALS or OPERATIONS tab. This will bring up a grid of data.
You can use mouse to SELECT, COPY then PASTE into Excel worksheet. You
then will need to adjust column widths to see data.

I am on Version 8.03.406A
