Quick Search Entry Error - “A valid like field is required.”
This is kind of urgent. Go-live is monday and I can’t get this quick search entry to pull in a value for the Context Key (Like) field.
I’ve tried:
- adding a parameter just to see if it would allow me to bypass the like requirement
- Changing the field from OrderRel_OrderNum to OrderHed_OrderNum
- Adding both or either of the above to the BAQ Search setting (which is very hidden in the latest version!)
- Checking Context Default
I was trying to create the Quick Search Entry directly in Quick Search Maintenance.
In order to manage the reference, you have to create it from the [App]/[Search Field] you want it to be bound to.
!HOWEVER!, I’m trying to create it from the Order Lookup in Sales Order Pick List. Our previous on-prem QS Entry is referencing the quick search app directly. This cannot be done in the latest version of Kinetic. I created my QS through Order Entry as the native zOrderLine option is tied to. It is not clear why I can’t do this from the Sales Order Pick List Order search field. Not being able to right click in the field is what got me to try creating it directly.
Once I created the Quick Search Entry through Order Entry, it worked.
