You might all check your x:\vantage\db\vantage.pf file and make sure that the same -Mm 4096 is there as well.
I have ran into this in the past with Provision. I only know of three places this is stored
x:\progress\startup.pf
x:\vantage\db\vantage.pf
And in the Progress Explorer default setting for you database.
All three need to be the same.
Just a shot in the dark, I'm not a progress guy at all.
Good Luck
Jeremy

-Mm 4096 needs to be added to your servers startup.pf file. It is located in the Progress directory.
At least thats the first place I would look. Your database is set to start at 4096 but report builder is using 1024. I am about 80% sure this is where it needs to be changed.

Subject: [Vantage] Cannot run report builder reports from remote
connection ONLY
I am having a very strange problem. I am out in our chicago plant
testing setting up remote desktop connections to connect to our new
windows 2003 server in massachusetts. The users here currently
connect to an old ctirix server in clinton, but performance is not
very good. The new windows 2003 server is also our file server in
massachusetts and it also has a test install of vantage 6.0 on it.
We are still running 5.2 live, and that is currently located on a
seperate server. Everything went great with the install out here fo
remote desktop and we were able to lock the users down so when they
connect it autimatically starts the vantage 5.2 session. It is 5x
faster when running this way than their current citrix connections.
Everything in vantage is great, with one big expection, they cannot
run report builder reports form the vantage menu. Interestingly, if
they open the 5.2 report builder, they can run hte reports, they just
can't run them from the vantage menu. When they try, they get the
following error: "Unable to connect to database. Database error is:
server has -Mm parm 4096 and client has 1024. They must match.
(1150)." Any other system (local systems or citrix connections) can
run the reports without any problem and even through remote desktop
connection if they open the report with report builder they can run
it. As I said earlier in my ramblings, vantage 6.0 test is also
installed on the PC they are connecting to for remote desktop, so I'm
not sure if this has anything to do with it. I did open a 6.0
session through the remote desktop connection and I was able to run
report builder reports from that vantage menu. But, that didn't
really help me except to make me want to upgrade :) I also did a
search on the epicor eranet, but the response i found was for cases
when this problem occurred on all workstations and since it's only
happeneing in this one case, it doesn't apply. Does anybody have any
idea what my problem is??? I would greatly appreciate ANY and ALL
suggestions.
