Has anyone used DMT to change the chart of accounts assigned to their book?
I didn’t think DMT would allow me to do this, but it was successful and preliminary testing in our test environment looks good. I should add, the new COA i created is using the same structure as the old one, the same categories and identical segment values. The reason I am testing this out is for GL consolidation purposes in a multi company single database environment.
Anyway, back to my question, has anyone done this successfully? and are there any red flags and sirens going off in anyone’s head that they’d like to share? Like I said, I fully didn’t expect this to work, but it is working in our test environment. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
