# Change color of grid -- job tracker **Category:** [Epicor ERP 10](https://www.epiusers.help/c/e10/5) **Created:** 2016-10-27 16:26 UTC **Views:** 2989 **Replies:** 9 **URL:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/change-color-of-grid-job-tracker/35978 --- ## Post #1 by @irus26 Hi, Is it possible to change the color or the background of grand summaries for Labor Transactions grid in Job Tracker? I was able to only change the color for the header, but not the summaries. Thanks, Johnny --- ## Post #2 by @josecgomez Sure thing http://www.infragistics.com/community/forums/t/41302.aspx --- ## Post #3 by @irus26 Jose, I tried that as well but the grdLaborTransactions does not initialize... What else am I missing? Thanks, Johnny --- ## Post #4 by @duckor I believe you have to call the native control. EpiUltraGrid grid = (EpiUltraGrid)csm.GetNativeControlReference("EpiGuid here"); --- ## Post #5 by @josecgomez ALl Grids initialize, you just have to get a hold of it and setup the Event for it to trigger --- ## Post #6 by @irus26 Yeah I did initialize it: this.grdLaborTransactions = ((EpiUltraGrid)csm.GetNativeControlReference("f45f4532-176c-4a87-8459-4cf95e66fd38")); //init but I don't group that labor transactions table as it says on that forum. If I group I get this error: "Specified cast is not valid." --- ## Post #7 by @irus26 I've managed to get the color changed for the rows and header, but not the summaries. Thanks guys, I'll keep trying! --- ## Post #8 by @josecgomez I think I got it ```cs //Declare on Top of the Class EpiUltraGrid ug; //Inside Initialize Custom Code ug = (EpiUltraGrid)csm.GetNativeControlReference("f45f4532-176c-4a87-8459-4cf95e66fd38"); ug.SummaryValueChanged += new Infragistics.Win.UltraWinGrid.SummaryValueChangedEventHandler(this.ug_SummaryValueChanged); // //Inside DestroyCustomCode ug.SummaryValueChanged -= new Infragistics.Win.UltraWinGrid.SummaryValueChangedEventHandler(this.ug_SummaryValueChanged); // private void ug_SummaryValueChanged(object sender, Infragistics.Win.UltraWinGrid.SummaryValueChangedEventArgs args) { // ** Place Event Handling Code Here ** ug.Rows.SummaryValues[0].Appearance.BackColor = System.Drawing.Color.Blue; } ``` --- ## Post #9 by @irus26 Thanks Jose, I did not think of Summary Value Changed.. I appreciate your help! :) --- ## Post #10 by @utaylor
ug.Rows.SummaryValues[0].Appearance.BackColor = System.Drawing.Color.Blue
@josecgomez How would you color all of the rows that color? --- **Canonical:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/change-color-of-grid-job-tracker/35978 **Original content:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/change-color-of-grid-job-tracker/35978
