We are (we hope) in the home stretch of our upgrade to 10.2.700.6. I am in the middle of finalizing the document from which we work. It’s an annotated version of the Epicor Guide, but it’s cut down to include only the things that we actually need and it has our timings for each step based on our install to TEST in Dec.
Here’s the issue: when I went to EpicWeb to verify that we were working from the latest install document, I discovered a newer version of the New Install Guide. It came out after we installed to TEST.
So… is there any place where changes to the document are recorded? I did not see a Change History section in the document itself. I really don’t want to go through 178 pages from scratch (again) to try to figure out what has changed and whether it even affects us.
Are you talking about the PDF file of release changes? If so, there is an Excel file embedded into the PDF that has each change listed by release number.
Nope. Those I know about. Those are changes to the application itself.
What I am asking about is the updates made to the guides for upgrades and new installs. The New Install Guide from which we were working for TEST is the Oct 20, 2020 8:28AM version
But the latest version of the same document is now this one:
However there is no change history (that I can find) that tells me what changed, so I have no idea how important the changes are to our particular install process.
Thanks for the advice. That was my backup plan. Just seems odd they would issue a revision to at 175 page document without some sort of change history…
