Change part description

Changing the description in the part table will work proactively, however,
the description will remain for existing quotes, invoices, jobs, packers,
etc.

I wonder if anyone has made mass changes to part descriptions through
Microsoft Access. I have parts that begin with '#2....' as part of the
description. I want to change all parts from #2 to 2G. If I do that to the
Part table, is there other files that are affected that I need to update?
