Change SO to NOT Make Direct

I have a SO that was Make Direct and the Job has bee completed. They no longer need to ship the part but want to put it in Stock. What would be the best process or practice to move this to stock.

Currently I have taken the job out of completion and removed the demand link on the Job for that SO. When I go to that SO I can’t remove the Make Direct check because it saysimage
There is noting showing allocated. It it because material has been issued to the JOB. That was my guess since the JOB was complete.

Anyone dealt with issues like this before? What is the cleanest way to get it to Stock?

Thanks Kim

Kim,
You can do a Job Receipt to Inventory (Mtl Mgmt>Inventory Mgmt) to move the job to stock. This will clear it out of WIP and increase your inventory. You won’t be able to un-check the make direct check box on the order.

Sue

Make the job demand link make to stock and then do a receipt to inventory

Close the order line

Mark this worked for me.

Should the SO line be closed or Voided? I would think Voided since it was canceled.

Closing it manually is the same as voiding it

Do you have to unallocate on the SO for the line?
