I’m wondering if anyone has any technical, rather than glossy marketing, documentation on the Cirrus upgrade product that they’d be happy to share? (I’ve asked Epicor, but if anything does exists I think it will take a lifetime to be sent to me).

@Fatboy40 - You probably want the Upgrade Guide or at least the technical section. Your CAM should be able to put you into the upgrade process and get an Upgrade PM.

Unfortunately it appears that there’s very little truly technical documents on Cirrus, just what you hear on the grapevine, ah well.
Not sure what you mean by Technical Documents can you be more specific? Cirrus is a cloud service that Epicor provides there isn’t a lot of “technical” info you need to know.
Run the tool, upload DB, run conversion, download db, install db
As to what does it do? It spins up a copy of your stuff on a cloud server and runs the conversion process for you automatically , its monitored by Epicor and any errors are fixed by them and the process is re-started until it runs successfully. The process “learns” from itself so the next pass (you get 3) it will automatically apply fixes that it had to run the first time.
Their team worked really hard to re-write a lot of the conversion logic and process to perform much faster than the standard DUU I have a customer whose DUU method took over a week to convert and it converts in Cirrus in 4-5 hours.
Oh and one of my favorite features, you get 2 copies of your DB, a Vanilla and the regular. Vanilla contains all your data without any of the customizations, bpms etc which means you can dive right in into data validation without having the system choke on bad ABL or poorly written customizations.
