We are using Vantage on a Windows 2003 Stn 64-bit Server using Terminal
Services only. The 64-bit edition allows us to take advantage of more
memory on the server. In our environment, we have never found the need
for Citrix.
Our Terminal Server has Dual Xeon 2Ghz with 8GB of ram.
For us the main issue with 64-bit Server has been Print Drivers and old
32-bit software and old software with 16-bit installations.
We aren't live yet, but have tested Clients in Prototyping and Vantage
performs well with 5 clients. It actually performs better through
terminal services than on my Dual-core P4 Laptop with 2gb of Ram.
On the client side, we just use WYSE terminals. Remote VPN users start
a remote desktop session to the server and it works well.
